Subhabrata Mitra is a Professor of Neonatal Medicine at the Institute for Women’s Health, University College London and a Consultant Neonatologist at University College London Hospital in the United Kingdom. He has a long-standing interest in perinatal neuroscience, particularly in improving the understanding of pathophysiology and development of early biomarkers of outcomes following perinatal brain injury using a multimodal platform of optical neuromonitoring, integrative systemic physiology and advanced neuroimaging. He is also leading a multicentre international study to improve pregnancy outcomes using optical placental monitoring.
