His research focuses on investigating the effects of continuous-colored light exposure on cerebral hemodynamics and systemic physiology in humans. His studies explore how variations in light color, intensity, and exposure sequences affect brain activity, physiology, and cognition.<\/p>\n<p>He specializes in functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) neuroimaging, having conducted extensive studies with hundreds of participants. His work integrates fNIRS measurements with systemic physiological data using the systemic physiology augmented near-infrared spectroscopy (SPA-fNIRS) technique, developed in collaboration with institutions in Bern, Zurich and London. With expertise in neuroimaging, psychology, biomedical optics, signal processing, data analysis, modeling, physiology, and neuroscience, he has made significant contributions to optical neuroimaging. Recognized with five international awards, including the Melvin H.
