He has a long-standing interest in perinatal neuroscience, particularly in improving the understanding of pathophysiology and development of early biomarkers of outcomes following perinatal brain injury using a multimodal platform of optical neuromonitoring, integrative systemic physiology and advanced neuroimaging.
