Kao, Ph.D<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span>Professor &amp; Associate Director, Center for Biomedical Engineering &amp; Technology (BioMET) And Department of Physiology, University of Maryland, Baltimore, USA<\/p>\n<p><strong>Talk Title<\/strong>: Insights from measuring superoxide in red blood cells<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\nJoe Kao is a chemist and cellular physiologist whose research focuses on the design, synthesis, and application of molecular probes for studying physiological function. He is a Professor of Pharmacology and Physiology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Arizona State University and a Ph.D. in Biophysical Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley. After a post-doctoral fellowship with Roger Y. Tsien, he joined the faculty at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
