Dr. Zal founded HEMARINA in 2007 after 15 years of fundamental research at the CNRS. He is the author of several dozen international patents, more than 130 publications and has given over 100 presentations at scientific conferences, he also is the author of\u00a0 a book named \u201cUn tr\u00e9sor sous le sable\u201d (A treasure under the seashore\u201d) ed les ar\u00e8nes-France.<\/p>\n<p>He is currently President of Biotech Sant\u00e9 Bretagne, a member of the Supervisory Board of Inserm Transfert and Vice-President Regenerative medicine of Atlanp\u00f4le Bioth\u00e9rapies board. Franck holds a PhD in Oceanography (Pierre-et-Marie Curie University, Sorbonne University) and a Habilitation to supervised researches (HDR) completed by three years of post-doctoral studies at the University of Santa Barbara in California (UCSB) and then at the University of Antwerp in Belgium.
